Not the most surprising news you’ll hear this season, but City have finally confirmed what we all expected; that they have cancelled the contract of Australian goalkeeper Michael Theoklitos by mutual consent with immediate effect.
The 29-year-old made his one and only appearance for City in this season’s infamous 7-1 home defeat to Colchester United on the opening day of the campaign.

Ever since our incredible climb to the summit of League One, attention has turned to manager Paul Lambert. One to watch, he’s been compared to Martin O’Neill, and touted as a future Celtic or even Scotland manager; certainly there have been those who have been quick to tell Lambert and Norwich fans where his next job will be.
It also hasn’t escaped our notice that the Hoops are having an under-par season so far, and are struggling to keep up with their rivals Rangers at the top of SPL this season. With Tony Mowbray under increasing pressure, will a return to former club Celtic come sooner rather than later for our man, as some are suggesting? Well, if you believe Lambert, no. And it may not even come at all.

Looks like we’re set to add another striker to our books – albeit only temporarily – in the shape of Preston North End’s Republic of Ireland international striker, Stephen Elliott.

Holt grabbed his 25th goal of the season at Boundary Park

City confirmed today that they have now reached a successful conclusion of the libel action taken against News Group Newspapers Limited (publishers of the News of the World), following publication of an article on Sunday, January 24, 2010, which stated that City were the next club set to go into administration..
The Newspaper group have issued a public apology to the club and Chairman Alan Bowkett, as well as making a payment for damages caused, thought to be a five-figure sum.
Alan Bowkett told the club’s official website:
“We are delighted that this matter has been sensibly resolved, that the truth has been established and that the club’s reputation is restored. It was disappointing that the News of the World published the article in question, and faced with that article the club had no option but to stand up and protect its position. We are pleased the matter is now concluded.”
Marvellous.
